Got an idea that might turn into a business? The Stanislaus Innovation Challenge could help it launch.
The third annual contest involves pitches to expert panels and audience voters at five regional rounds in Stanislaus County, followed by the Dec. 8 finals in Modesto. The winner and runner-up will get a total of $5,000 in cash and $3,000 in legal, accounting and other business services.
Tuesday is the deadline to enter the first regional round, which will be at 6 p.m. Aug. 25 at the Kirk Lindsey Center, 1020 10th St., Suite 102, Modesto. Other rounds will be Sept. 15 in Patterson, Oct. 6 in Ceres, Oct. 26 in Oakdale and Nov. 17 in Turlock.
